Tulip Noir Staff


Our staff here at Tulip Noir is very dedicated and talented. Everything that comes out of our kitchen tastes and looks amazing. The wait staff is always welcoming and gives 100% each and every day. We would not be as successful without all of their support and consistent hard work.

Dina M. Romay-Sipe – Owner :  Dina Romay-Sipe was born in Toledo, Ohio and went to the University Of Cincinnati, School Of Architecture. She acquired her love of cooking under the guidance of her mom, a chef and a Registered Nurse, who was a great inspiration to Dina.  Dina still practices design but on a smaller scale than in the past.  She now incorporates her design skills into a way of life, in the food she creates, and the design in her surroundings. Dina believes in Tulip and in what Tulip strives to be.  She works daily towards its success, and shares her beliefs in well-being with the staff and customers.  Balance is a key principal of her life.

Jeff Sipe – Co-Owner : Jeff Sipe is from Hershey, Pennsylvania and moved to Indianapolis after Architectural school at the University of Cincinnati.  Jeff takes care of the daily financial issues and accounting. He says his wife, Dina, has always been creative with her daily menus at home – It was only a matter of time before she opened a restaurant.  We all work together for the success of Tulip.

Kim – Head Chef : Kim was born in Manila, Philippines and moved here when she was 17.  She learned her skills at the International Culinary School at the Art Institute and graduated Associate of Science in Culinary Arts in 2009. She is a good team member in creating food options.  She says that Tulip is similar to the way she eats so it is easy for her to be creative in the kitchen.

Mark – Assistant Chef : Mark Dank is from the east Indianapolis and graduated from The Chef’s Academy in 2009. He takes the time to give attention to every detail and a strong concern for the quality and the visual aspect of the ending product.  He is professional and considers Tulip to give him an opportunity to learn something new every day.

Michelle – Marketing/Server : Michelle Lewis Korin draws on her degree in Business Communication and Management from Indiana University as well as years of sales, marketing, and management experience on the East Coast and in her hometown of Indianapolis.  She aims to bring a fresh approach to “Feeding Indiana Healthy.” With a whimsical attitude, this mother of three is passionate about the combination of health and taste that has become the hallmark of Tulip Noir.

Andrew – Head Server : Andrew Byers is from Indianapolis, IN and studied at Ivy Tech State College.  He is one of our daily servers and always brings his refreshing attitude to work. Andrew is a big asset to Tulip because he is passionate about serving great food, treating guests like family, and loving the vibe Tulip is putting out and passing on to the customer!

Sam, Otto and Avery : Dina and Jeff’s three beautiful children are the mental and emotional support for their parents.  They are the biggest advocates in the success of the family business and their mom’s endless hours of dedication.  Sam waits tables and helps with updating Facebook, Twitter, and he types the recipes for the cookbook.  Otto also waits tables and has become a specialist in Tulip’s website and logo. All three are happy taste testers for each seasonal menu.
